Stitching and Knitting and Some Long Awaited Flowers

Hello everybody and welcome to those lovely people who have followed me.

Thank you for the advice on my last post, hopefully it will sort itself out.

I've started my new project and this is what I've done so far:

This stitch is called Arrowhead Fly Stitch.  The variegated thread is very pale but very lovely.

I thought I would show you my knitting too:

This is a sleeve.  The pattern is Leonora by Sarah Hatton.  This project won't grow very fast because I'm a slow knitter!

I'll leave with a few flower shots from my garden.  The first lily has opened it's petals this week:

The first pink rose that clambers over my arbour has bloomed too.  The white roses that climb up the other side are almost ready to bloom too.

I'm hoping for a bit more sun and then perhaps my sweet peas may be persuaded to flower!

Bye bye for now.....

Hello

Hi

I've lost some of my followers from my list and I don't know how. Does anyone know what I need to do to re-instate them?

I'm shown has having 2 on my blog but my dashboard says 17.

Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks for any advice.

Hello

Hello and thank you for the lovely comments on my post yesterday. Thanks for following too.

I've been blog hopping and I visited Pam at My Stitchin-n-Stuff and she is hosting a giveaway if you answer the 11 questions on her blog. I thought I'd join in and here's my answers:

What was your first cross stitch project and how old were you?

I was about 28 and it was a kit of Pinocchio.

What is your favourite thread/fabric colour?

Fave fabric colour is white and favourite thread colour is pink.

What is your favourite stitching tool and accessory and why?

My Q-Snaps frames because they hold the fabric tightly and are easy to hold.

Do you have fur-babies to help you stitch?

Yes I have two girl kitties who are very partial to thread.

Where is your favourite place to stitch?

In my squashy armchair in the living-room
.
What is your most difficult project?

A hardanger sampler.

What would cause you to throw away an unfinished project?

I have just thrown a half finished project away because I really couldn't get on with the awful linen it was stitched on.

What is your STASH weakness?

Variegated thread, I am addicted to it.

How old is your oldest UFO?

I don't have any UFOs, I tend to do one project at a time.

How many projects do you actively work on and do you have a rotation schedule for them?

No, I'm a one project at a time girl.

Here's one of my girls, she's lying on my stitching notebook.

Pop over and have a go!

My New Blog

Hello, I'm Sally and this is my new blog.

I love cross stitch and counted thread embroidery and here's my latest finish:

It's a design by by Jeanette Douglas and it's called Mini Topiary 2.

I stitched it on 28ct evenweave with DMC threads and Threadworx threads in Green Tea Latte and Soft Lights.

I added some green Mill Hill seed beads form my stash.

Here's my next project, Mini Topiary 3 all ready to go:

I'm going to start it now.

Bye bye for now........
